Our Wood:

Specially selected and aged for many years, black ebony with few pores or dark rosewood with few pores. European boxwood with a beautiful grain, traditionally stained – dark, auburn color.

Collars and Balls:

Dainty form in ebony or european boxwood or ivory.

Sizes available:

For Violins 4/4, (3/4 and 1/2 only in Swiss Model).

Quality:

We supply only first quality.

Surface Treatment:

Our standard finish is gloss polished. On request we can provide dull polished, or for the Hill model, Hill Heart shape Model or Winterling model polished with fine abrasives and then oiled. For this there is a surcharge of 15%.

About

Our company was established more tan 120 years ago and our fourth generation is currently turning pegs. In 1884 our founder, Franz Lorenz (1859-1944), started turning pegs with very simple tools in Ursprung, Czechoslovakia. His son, Josef Lorenz (1885-1975), later took over the workshop and continue reading...
